No Drag Queens for Johannesburg Pride Parade

The Gay community in Johannesburg reportedly isn't too pleased following a newspaper report that Drag Queens won't be allowed to participate in this year's Gay and Lesbian Pride Parade. The September 25th event is part of an annual week of celebrations. Authorities are citing a regulation prohibiting any person participating in a gathering, march, or protest from "wearing a disguise or mask that obscures facial features and prevents identification." Apparently this hasn't been an issue in 14 previous Pride Marches. Shouldn't the police be fighting crime instead of worrying about Cross Dressed entertainers? Doesn't that just piss you off? it does me!
