Update: Johannesburg's Gay Pride March

In an update on my previous Blog entry, there's apparently been a change of heart: Drag Queens are now welcome at Johannesburg's 15th Gay Pride March.

According to the event's promoter, Pride 2004 is open to all who wish to attend. Drag Queens are an intrinsic part of the Gay Community. The even't organizer reportedly said that Drag Queens are a reason many spectators attend the annual Lesbian and Gay Pride march. Many of the participants are full time entertainers who enjoy a large and loyal following.
